Mount Meru, located in Tanzania, is a striking stratovolcano known for its stunning beauty and challenging climbing routes. Standing at about 4,566 meters (15,300 feet), it is the second-highest peak in Tanzania after Mount Kilimanjaro. The mountain features a distinctive pyramid shape, characterized by steep slopes and a prominent summit cone, which is often shrouded in clouds.

The region surrounding Mount Meru is rich in biodiversity, with lush forests at lower elevations giving way to alpine meadows and rocky terrain higher up. It’s part of the Arusha National Park, which is home to various wildlife, including buffalo, giraffes, and many bird species.
